As the year is coming to a close, tech companies are busy gathering 2011 metrics and making predictions for 2012. To keep up with the Jonses, Amazon.com published their list of best selling books yesterday afternoon. Walter Isaacson’s much publicized biography of Steve Jobs holds the number one spot. What’s ironic is that the book was just released in October. Obviously… this is a tremendously popular book! Other items of interest include #4 and #9 on the list, which were offered as e-books only. This shows an interesting trend in publishing.
The top 10 best sellers of 2011 are:
- “Steve Jobs” by Walter Isaacson
- “Bossypants” by Tina Fey
- “A Stolen Life” by Jaycee Dugard
- “The Mill River Recluse” by Darcie Chan
- “In the Garden of the Beasts” by Erik Larson
- “A Dance with Dragons” by George R.R. Martin
- “The Paris Wife” by Paula McLain
- “The Litigators” by John Grisham
- “The Abbey” by Chris Culver
- “Inheritance (The Inheritance Cycle)” by Christopher Paolini
