Nintendo Sustains More Losses… Where is Wii U?

Just as Verizon announced some depressing numbers earlier this week, Nintendo has also unveiled their latest quarterly results… and they are not good. The company has reported negative numbers for the past 9 months. Unfortunately, they do not expect it turn around during Q1 2012 either. Chances are they’ll have at least 1 full year of monetary loss. Analysts blame the decline on the fact that Nintendo has not released a new gaming console since the Wii, despite the demo of Wii U at last year’s E3 conference. Additionally, sales of the 3DS have been lagging, and their latest console remains vaporware. Hopefully Nintendo will be able release the new system in 2012, as planned, and stop this trend.
