At today’s American Physical Society meeting in Boston, MA, scientists from IBM Labs took the stage to talk about quantum computing. This topic has long been speculated amongst researchers, but the common belief was that the technology would take about 50 years to come to fruition. However, IBM claims this type of computing may be closer than originally thought. They are speculating it may become reality within the next 15 years. Wow!
