Almost two years ago, we published a list of 10 comic book movies every geek should see. Our original list included: Superman, Batman, The Crow, Blade, X-Men, Spiderman, Sin City, V for Vendetta, 300, and Iron Man (Hellboy and Constantine were honorable mentions). However, a lot of really good comic book movies have been released in the past couple years, so we thought it was time to revisit this list.
Here is a list of 10 MORE must see movies based on comic books. After you watch the first 10, make sure to watch these too. They are listed in chronological order. Enjoy.
Road To Perdition (2002): Award winning actor Tom Hanks stars as hitman Mike Sullivan in this comic-based film about a boy learning his father’s darkest secret.

Fantastic Four (2005): This screen adaptation profiles a group of astronauts who are accidentally exposed to radiation and transformed into a crime fighting bunch of super heroes. Great special effects!

The Incredible Hulk (2008): Edward Norton plays scientist Bruce Banner. Through an experiment gone wrong, he becomes an uncontrollable monster every time his heart races.

The Dark Knight (2008): Another film in the series, The Dark Knight focuses on Batman’s war on crime. As he cleans up Gotham City, a new villain rises… The Joker.

Watchmen (2009): This comic masterpiece profiles the original Minutemen and their successors, the Watchmen. This movie shows us that even super heroes have to deal with everyday problems.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009): Though it received awful reviews, most geeks agree this movie rocks. The film even goes back in time to explain Destro’s family history and the feud between Snake Eyes & Storm Shadow.

Thor (2011): Thor and his mighty hammer are banished to another dimension (modern day Earth). Here, Thor will learn humility and discover the value of humans when he falls in love with one.

Green Lantern (2011): An arrogant pilot stumbles across a magical ring which ties him to an intergalactic brotherhood of crime fighters. He ends up saving the galaxy from the evil Parallax.

Captain America: The First Avenger (2011): This awesome comic book movie takes place during WWII. A 90 lb. weakling undergoes an experiment that transforms him into Captain America.

The Avengers (2012): Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, and Black Widow join forces to save the world. What results is quite possibly the best comic book movie ever made!

Honorable Mention:
Elektra (2005)
