EU Fines Microsoft $731 Million For Browser Antitrust

Yesterday, the European Union (EU) fined Microsoft 561 Million Euros (or about $731,000,000) over an antitrust issue related to the IE browser. The EU claims Microsoft made a commitment in 2009 related to web browser choices for end users. Reportedly, the software giant violated this commitment and the EU wants compensation.
