Court Orders Microsoft To Rename SkyDrive

Back in 2007, Microsoft got into to the cloud storage business with a product known as Windows Live Folders. This service eventually took on the name SkyDrive and has since been a flagship product for Microsoft. UK firm BSkyB, who brands their products with the word Sky, had an issue with the name SkyDrive and brought a suit against Microsoft. Earlier this week, a UK court ruled the name does infringe on BSkyB’s copyright and ordered Microsoft to change the name. There is no word yet as to what this product will be called in the future.
