Windows 8 Surpasses Mac OS X

Microsoft’s latest and greatest operating system, Windows 8, has been on the market for almost a year. The adoption rates have been slow over the last 11 months, but it looks like the OS is finally gaining some momentum. According to StatCounter, Windows 8 usage surpassed Mac OS X usage last month. Their statistics show Windows 7 with a strong lead at 51.98%.  Windows XP takes the second place spot with a sizable 20.58%. Windows 8 rounds out the top 3 boasting 7.46%. This number narrowly edges out Mac OS X, which claimed 6.98%.

So, even though Windows 8 is not catching on per se, Microsoft still have a lot of Win8 users out there. Who knew? icon wink Windows 8 Surpasses Mac OS X
