Windows 8 Finally Reaches 10% Market Share

Windows 8 was released 15 months ago. About this time last year, the OS was struggling to achieve 2% adoption. By the middle of 2013, Windows 8 was pushing 4% market share. This past July, it finally surpassed 2006’s Windows Vista. Now the OS has reached another milestone as the latest statistics show it passed the 10% mark in December. Windows 8 and 8.1 accounted for 10.49% of web traffic last month. Windows XP holds the #2 sport with 28.98% and Windows 7 leads the pack with a commanding 47.52%. Now, the big question is… how long before it surpasses XP?
