HP To Offer OpenStack-Based Cloud OS

Last year, we reported that Dell and Red Hat were working on a cloud OS based on OpenStack. Since then, Oracle and Canonical (maker of Ubuntu Linux) have also created OpenStack-based operating systems. Now HP is following suit. The company hopes to roll out ther own cloud-based OS called Helion later this year. This product will be marketed at everyday consumers as well as businesses.
