Apple Lowers Price On 21.5″ iMac

Though this year’s WWDC did not bring us any new Apple hardware, the Mac maker did unveil new MacBook Airs in late April. Now, they’ve added another model to the iMac line and it’s less expensive than its predecessors. Previously, Apple had two configurations for the 21.5″ iMac. They sold for $1299 and $1499 respectively. Today, a third configuration was added, and this one will sell for $1099. There were no changes to the 27″ model, so it’s not a refresh per se, but it does make the iMac more attractive to potential PC buyers. Now if they could get the price down to $999… the iMac would be the first sub-$1000 all-in-one since the eMac.
