Facebook Proves Mobile Ads Work

Social networking giant Facebook’s shares hit a high today after announcing a 61% increase in revenue. Evidently, the boost was fueled by mobile ads. Facebook has been targeting ads at its customers through their mobile app and the results have been very positive. However, there is a dichotomy associated with this type of advertising. While this has been an effective marketing strategy, most consumers say they are bothered by mobile ads and find them annoying. At some point, saturation may steer consumers away from mobile apps.
