NASA SLS Rocket To Arrive In 2018

Since the space shuttles were decommissioned in 2011, NASA has not had a vehicle which can carry humans into space. There have been several unmanned spacecraft, but the replacement for the space shuttle has not materialized… until now. NASA has now committed $7 Billion to build and launch a new space vessel known as the Space Launch System (SLS). In addition to having the ability to carry humans and cargo into low orbit, SLS will be a long range rocket that can reach nearby asteroids, and even Mars. The modular rocket will not only be big and powerful, but also versatile.
