Windows XP Use Waining, Windows 8 Use Growing

This summer, we posted an article about Windows XP usage still exceeding Windows 8 usage even after the OS was sunset in April. Now, just a few months later, the numbers are telling a much different story. Windows XP still outranks Windows 8 and 8.1 combined… but barely. 2001’s XP still holds a 17.18% share, but Windows 8 & 8.1 are now accounting for  a combined 16.8%. At this rate, Windows 8 will probably pass XP by the time Windows 10 arrives next year. Needless to say, Windows 7 still has the majority of the market with a commanding 53.05%.
