BlackBerry To Provide Security SW For iOS & Android

Earlier today, smartphone maker BlackBerry (formerly RIM) announced their next version of BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) will support more than just Blackberry phones. The company claims to have more enterprise mobile customers than the next 3 competitors combined. Today, the BES only supports BlackBerry-branded handsets, but the next version, BES 12, will support several Android-based Samsung devices (including the Galaxy S4 smartphone and Note 4 tablet). There were less details about iOS support other than to say it is planned for the near future. Perhaps this is a smart move for BlackBerry. The announcement alone propelled their stock to a 52 week high. Hmmm.
