Research firm IDC recently posted statistics that indicate tablet sales are on an overall decline. Supposedly, new larger screen smartphones are responsible for this change. People are less likely to buy and iPad when iPhone is becoming larger… or so the logic goes. However, we should probably point out that IDC’s analysts also predicted tablets would lead to the death of PC back in 2013. And let’s not forget 2011’s much hyped “decline of the laptop.” Just three years ago, tech analysts were predicting tablets would soon destroy laptops. Well… I don’t claim to be an expert, but walk into any busy coffee shop and take a look around. Chances are you’ll see a lot of laptops and a few tablets. For “dying technology,” these things seem to be awful prevalent.
