Facebook Rolls Out Payment Service In US

As Apple Pay gains speed and Microsoft announces plans for a wallet app, its clear mobile payment services are becoming hot property for technology companies. Even Facebook wants a piece of this action as they just announced they’re adding electronic payments to their Messenger app. US-based users of Facebook Messenger can add their debit card to their preferences and then send or receive money. This is similar to how PayPal works, but the payment interface is piggybacked on to the existing application. The service was rolled out to a few major cities earlier this year and is now available to all users in the US.
