3D Scanner Made From Raspberry Pi & Kinect

I just came across an article about a geek who made a handheld 3D scanner from a Raspberry Pi and a Kinect. While he admits this is only a proof of concept, the idea is pretty cool. He fabricated the handle and printed it with a 3D printer. Then the Kinect attaches to the Raspberry Pi via USB and Linux does the rest. It’s definitely a cool idea.
