Is Windows 10 Spying On You?

Windows 10 unofficially launched in July. In just over a month, the operating system reportedly took over 5% of the PC market. Earlier this month, news broke that suggested the latest version of Windows includes a keylogger to track what your are doing on your PC. Needless to say, many Windows users were not happy about this. There were several tech sites that posted articles on how to shut it off.

This week, Microsoft made an official statement on the matter. The company denies that they are tracking users or invading your privacy in any way. The claim the keylogger and other features are present but are there for troubleshooting purposes only. The company posted blog entries that detail the data collection process and how it conforms to their privacy policies. They also acknowledge the features can be turned off but strongly suggest against doing so.
