Geek Of The Week: Benedict Cumberbatch

Geek Of The Week: Benedict Cumberbatch

This week I am choosing Benedict Cumberbatch as this week’s geek. For those of you who don’t know, Benedict Cumberbatch is one of the great actors of this current generation. He plays or has played any number of characters that any self respecting geek would know: Smaug, Sherlock Holmes, Khan, and Alan Turing (for which he was nominated for an Oscar). He has breathed new life into Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock on PBS. He is truly an immense talent, with tremendous range of ability. I believe he will go down as one of the all time greats. If you haven’t seen his performance in The Imitation Game in which he plays Turing, it really shouldn’t be missed. Benedict Cumberbatch, actor extraordinaire, and Geek of the Week.
