Microsoft Unveils Lumia 650

Earlier this year, we reported Microsoft had plans to release one more smartphone under the Lumia moniker before changing the name to Surface. At the time, analyst claimed the final Lumia handset would arrive in February.

February is upon us and Microsoft just released the Lumia 650. The “budget” smartphone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset,  5″ HD display, 16 GB of storage, and an 8 megapixel camera. It will sell for $199 making it far less expensive than most of the competitors on the market. Microsof has not officlaly stated this is the last of the Lumia-branded handsets, but many analysts believe that to be the case. Supposedly, the next Microsoft smartphone will be branded Surface.
