Google Cars Are Learning When To Honk The Horn

About a year ago, Google announced plans to create a new self-driving car without a steering wheel. They’ve been testing the vehicles which are getting smarter and smarter. Now, Google is attempting to give the robot cars a voice… literally. The latest incarnation will have the ability to honk the horn to warn motorists and pedestrians. Google stated the horn algorithm will mimic the judgement of a seasoned driver. In other words, they won’t honk for no reason. There has to be an actual honk-worthy situation detected. Google also claims hundreds of hours of research have gone into development of the algorithm.
