Juno Space Probe Reaches Jupiter

NASA launched the Juno space probe about 5 years ago. Earlier today, the spacecraft began its orbit of Jupiter, approximately 540,000,000 miles from Earth. NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) celebrated as the first shots of Jupiter were returned from orbit. It is now the farthest solar powered spacecraft from Earth and its the first to study Jupiter since 2003. Undoubtedly, Juno will send back new data about the giant planet.
