Intel Readies 7th Gen Core Processors

Intel’s latest microprocessor, dubbed Kaby Lake, is expected to make its first appearance in laptops this fall. These are the 7th generation of Intel’s Core line of chips. So why is this announcement different than any previous Intel chip release? Reportedly, the Kaby Lake units will offer a huge increase gaming and VR performance on mobile platforms. Intel claims it is not just a speed bump, but a significantly new architecture. While the first production units will appear in notebook computers, the technology is expected to make its way in tablets and phones as well.
