Otto Robot Truck Makes 120 Mile Beer Run

Otto, a startup working on robotic trucking, was acquired by Uber earlier this year. In August, the parent company made history as they deployed robot taxis in Pittsburgh. Now they’re doing it again with a 120 mile autonomous beer run. Otto and Anheuser Busch teamed up for the project. The self-driving truck carried 200 cases of Budweiser across Colorado without human interaction. There was a person in the vehicle, but he spent the majority of the time in the sleeper cab as the truck steered flawlessly with nobody at the wheel. Is anyone else having visions of Maximum Overdrive? Creepy.
