Tesla To Start Charging For Charging

Electric vehicle maker Tesla has been making waves throughout the automobile industry. We’ve been following their progress for the last several years. Today, the company announced they’ll begin charging Tesla owners to use their Supercharger network next year. The company has deployed more than 4600 charging stations around the world, dubbed Superchargers. Think of them as gas pumps for electric cars. Up until this point, Tesla owners have not had to pay to use the network. However, that will be changing soon. Any Tesla ordered after 1/1/2017 will include a limited amount of Supercharger credits, and any additional charging sessions will need to be purchased. Existing Tesla owners are “grandfathered” in for the time being.
