Microsoft Unveils New Mobile Strategy

When Microsoft released Windows Phone 7 in 2010, the world had high hopes. IDC even predicted it would be the second most popular mobile OS by 2015. The first year was marginal at best, and things haven’t really gotten better since. Many have called it a huge flop. However, Microsoft just unveiled their latest mobiles strategy at BUILD and it’s probably not what you think. The company has promised to make their Android and iOS integration better in the next update. It’s as if they finally realized they can’t compete with the other mobile operating systems on the market, but they can integrate their desktop OS.
