Geek(s) Of The Week: Vint Cerf & Bob Kahn

There are certain things we take for granted in this day and age. Undoubtedly the Internet is one of them. This amazing technology would not exist if two men at Bell Labs hadn’t written a paper titled A Protocol for Packet Network Interconnection. Those two men were Vint Cerf and Bob Kahn. Together, they proposed the Internet as we know it and they did so back in the early-1970s. These two fellas authored the TCP/IP suite of communication protocols, which makes the Internet possible. They can be considered the fathers of the Internet in the same way Alan Turing (former GOTW) can be considered the father of Computer Science.
