Google Is Dropping The Headphone Jack Too

We all remember when Apple unveiled the iPhone 7 just over a year ago. This was the first handset to do away with the headphone jack. Many were outraged and swore they’d never buy another Apple product. However, shortly afterwards, we heard rumors that Samsung also had plans to drop the headphone jack. The company held a major event yesterday to release their new phones and some other products. During the event it was determined the new handset forgoes the headphone jack just like the newer iPhones. Is this the way of the future for mobile electronics? Are headphone jacks a thing of the past?
