SpaceX To Launch Falcon Heavy Tomorrow

In May of last year, SpaceX tested their Falcon Heavy rocket. The spacecraft is said to have the largest capacity in the world. SpaceX claims the Falcon Heavy can carry 140,660 lbs into low Earth orbit. The same craft can carry 37,040 lbs to Mars, or 7720 lbs all the way to Pluto. This is more than double the payload of the any existing rocket.

The FAA just gave SpaceX the green light to launch the massive rocket. They’ll make an attempt tomorrow between 1:30 pm and 4:00 pm EST. The Falcon Heavy will be carrying a Tesla Roadster which will be pushed into an orbit around the sun. Tesla/SpaceX CEO Elon Musk says he loves the idea of a car hurling through space for years only to be discovered by an alien race in the future.
