Stratolaunch Passes Milestone Test

Stratolaunch, the world’s biggest airplane, just passed another milestone test. The massive aircraft taxied down an empty runway in California at 46 mph before slowing to a stop. While this may seem unimpressive, it is an important step towards the aircraft taking flight, which is expected to happen next year. The half-million pound plane will eventually carry rockets that can be launched from mid-air into space. Essentially, it will help overcome the need for rocket boosters to get off the ground.
