Chinese Space Station Will Crash Into Earth This Week

Many of us remember when NASA’s UARS spacecraft crashed into the planet back in 2011. Well, it is about to happen again. Sometime in the next week or so, the Chinese Tiangong-1 space station will fall out of orbit and plummet to the Earth. The spacecraft was launched back in 2011 weighs approximately 18.740 lbs. It is approximately the size of a school bus. Experts expect more than half of the object to burn up in the Earth’s atmosphere, but estimate 10-40% of it will hit the planet somewhere.
