Twitter Updates Windows Desktop App To PWA

Earlier this year, Microsoft expressed an interest in more Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) for Windows. A PWA is an application that’s designed to be online, but still works offline. Social network Twitter is the first major software package to take advantage of this functionality on Windows. The latest Windows-based app is not only a PWA, but also the first major update since 2015. Microsoft hopes to reveal several more major PWAs at the BUILD conference in May.
