Lyrid Meteor Shower Peaks This Sunday

The Lyrid meteor shower is happening now and should peak this weekend. Best viewing should happen extremely early Sunday morning. During the first AM hours continuing up to dawn, the shower should peak in the Northeast sky (at around 18 meteors per hour). Cloud conditions permitting, skywatchers should get a fantastic view of the celestial event during this window.
