17 Year Old Sets Sights On Mars

For almost a decade now, NASA has been talking about a mission to Mars. Undoubtedly, it will happen someday, and someone will have to be the first person to walk on the red planet’s surface. Meet Alyssa Carson, NASA’s youngest astronaut. At just 17 years old, this young woman is already training for the flight of her life. Carson wants to be the first person to walk on Mars.

NASA is currently targeting 2033 for the Mars mission, which means Carson will be 32. She is the first person to attend all 3 NASA Space Camps and has wanted to be an astronaut since she was 7 years old.
