EU Fines Google $5 Billion

If this headline looks kind of familiar, you’re probably thinking of the antitrust case from 2015. Well, Google’s antitrust practices are coming to light again as the European Union (EU) brings another case against the search provider. Reportedly, the EU feels forcing manufacturers of Android smartphones to install Google Chrome and Google Search apps is a violation of their regulations. Currently Android accounts for about 80% of mobile device operating systems in the EU.
