Microsoft Stops Development On Office Touch Apps

Microsoft just announced they’re no longer developing the lightweight versions of Office. These are the touch-enabled versions designed for use on tablets and smartphones. It is important to note they’re continuing to support the apps and issue security updates, but no new features will be added. I guess the idea of controlling Office with your finger just didn’t pan out.
