InSight Probe Lands On Mars

Earlier this year, NASA launched another spacecraft towards Mars. It touched down on Mars earlier today. This represents the agency’s third vessel on the red planet’s surface. Unlike Curiosity and Opportunity, InSight (INterior exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy, and Heat Transport) will not be mobile. The probe is designed to sit in one location and gather information about the planet.
