Serious FaceTime Bug Permits Eavesdropping

Apple has been getting some negative press this week for a FaceTime bug that permits eavesdropping on conversations. The flaw can be exploited to allow a third party to listen to conversations or even use the camera. Apparently, a teenager tried to warn Apple over a week ago when he first discovered it. Earlier this week, Apple disabled the group chat feature and plans to issue a patch later this week which will address the bug. Currently it is only affecting iOS devices running v12.1 or later. Still, experts are recommending you disable FaceTime until the update is released.
