Apple Compensates Teen Who Found FaceTime Bug

Last week, the Internet was abuzz with news of a bug in Apple’s FaceTime that permitted eavesdropping. Reportedly, a teenage boy in Arizona tried to warn Apple about the flaw over a week before it went public. The company issued a patch with included his name as a reporter in the release notes. Now, they’re claiming the boy will be compensated as part of the company’s Bug Bounty program. Details of the compensation have not yet been released.
