Earth Has A 2nd Moon… Temporarily

A small asteroid got caught in Earth’s gravitational pull recently and is currently orbiting our planet like a second moon. Alas, it is too small to see. Scientists believe it is 12′ or less in diameter. Essentially, the asteroid was being pulled towards the Sun when the Earth’s gravity captured it. It will remain there for the next month or so but scientists believe it will break out of Earth’s orbit in April and continue its path towards the Sun.
