Perseid Meteor Shower To Peak This Week

August has arrived which means two things: 1) students are about to go back to school (possibly virtually this year) and 2) we can again the Perseid meteors. The annual event hits its peak in early to mid August every year. This year’s shower is expected to have best viewing around August 11th or 12th, this Tuesday or Wednesday. The Moon will be less than half full allowing for decent visibility provided cloud cover cooperates. At it’s peak, up to 100 Perseid meteors will streak across the night sky every minute.
