Nvidia Builds 7th Fastest Supercomputer In A Month!

The supercomputer, named Selene, is powered by their commercially-available DGX SuperPOD architecture. Selene uses 560 AMD Epyc 7742 CPUs and 2240 Nvidia A100 GPUs. All of this sounds like an amazing feat in and of itself. However, what’s more incredible is the fact that Selene ranks as the 7th fastest supercomputer in the entire world. For comparison, several of the top 6 took years to build.
