Nokia Will Build A Cellular Network For The Moon

NASA recently announced they’ve partnered with Nokia to build a 4G LTE cellular network on the Moon. The project, called Tipping Point, will extend cellular voice and data connectivity to the Moon’s surface. Many of us remember when NASA tested this idea back in 2013. Now they’re moving forward. Nokia’s lunar network is expected to be completed in late-2022. It could prove quite useful for NASA’s return to the Moon in 2024. This is all paving the way for eventual human settlements on the lunar surface.
