Orionid Meteor Shower Peaks Tonight

The Orionid meteor shower will peak tonight into tomorrow morning according to astronomers. At peak, viewers should be able to see up to 30 meteors per hour. The shower’s name comes from the constellation Orion, which is where the meteors appear to emanate from. Simply find Orion in the night sky and look for streaks of light coming off of his sword. This will be the Orionid meteors. This shower is made of debris from Haley’s Comet, which last passed our planet in 1986.
