Since Microsoft changed their update philosophy back in 2017, there’s been a number of users who have been frustrated by botched updates. They even suggested going to 1 update per year at some point. Well guess what… Microsoft is about to force a Windows 10 update to some users whether they want it or not.
Now, to be fair, they’re doing it for support reasons so it’s not near as nefarious as it sounds at first blush. However, users running Windows 10 version 1903 will automatically be updated to Windows 10 version 1909 this month. I should note that 1909 is not the most current version but it is supported. In fact, 1909 goes out of support in the Spring of 2021 so they’ll probably do the same thing again soon. Let’s hope it goes well.
