Xbox Kinect Now In Stores

Gamers everywhere were standing in line this morning as Microsoft’s latest creation, the Xbox Kinect, went on sale. It was demoed at E3 in June, and has been available for pre-order since July. This system represents the next big thing in motion-controlled gaming. Unlike the Nintendo Wii and Sony Play Station Move, Xbox Kinect does not use a joystick. It uses motion sensors to determine the positions of your arms/hands and legs/feet. Some early reviews are saying it is “more fun that Wii“, but others are saying comparing the two is “like apples and oranges.”

With the release of the Xbox Kinect today, and Windows Phone 7 devices coming next week, Microsoft is posed for a successful 2010 holiday season.
