SpaceShipTwo Completes Another Milestone Test

SpaceShipTwo made its first solo flight last October. Yesterday afternoon, the aircraft passed another milestone when it made another solo flight and was able to use it’s twin tail section. These movable sections will be used when the craft re-enters the Earth’s atmosphere after a quick jaunt into space. Although SpaceShipTwo has not yet successfully reached orbit, Virgin Galactic feels the project is right on schedule and they will be taking tourists into space as early as next year. So far, over 400 people have paid the $200,000 deposit to be on the waiting list.
