Apple Building New Campus In Cupertino

Steve Jobs addressed the Cupertino City Council last week to discuss the idea of building a new Apple campus. “It looks like a spaceship,” Jobs said as he showed the artist renderings (shown above & below) of the four story donut-shaped building. The mothership, as it is being dubbed, will have room for 12,000 employees and their vehicles. That’s right, the facility even includes an underground parking garage. The council unanimously approved to notion, and construction will start in 2012. The campus, located just across the road from Apple’s current campus at 1 Infinite Loop, is expected to be completed by 2015.
