In early 2010, the entertainment industry started pushing 3-D to consumers. At first, it was met with mixed results, but more and more manufacturers are getting behind this phenomenon. Cell phone companies are starting to offer 3-D phones and portable gaming devices are going that way too. Heck… even the porn industry is going 3-D! With all this excitement about 3-D televisions, three TV makers, Samsung, Sony, and Panasonic, have banded together to create a standard for active 3-D glasses. They are hoping this new standard will help foster the adoption of the technology. However, the fate of 3-D TV still seems to be uncertain.
