Apple’s IDMF Technology Gets OGC Approval

Apple just announced their Indoor Mapping Data Format (IDMF) technology was accepted by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). IMDF was created to give developers the means to generate customized indoor maps that include security and privacy controls. It relies of WiFi to communicate with devices. Apple has been working on IDMF since 2013.
